Updated Flickr

I've added more photos to my Flickr page, so now it is a bit more interesting I thought I would add it in here.
I've included some photos of the graffiti in Hosier and Union Lanes in Melbourne - including my favourite one:

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas I share with you ... my geeky Christmas tree!

(Are you scared yet? No? Did you see the floppy disks tied up with mouse cable to look like presents? I also made a Christmas tree out of post-it notes... I think I need a holiday!)

Trowzers discovers the Battles...

Lucky I'm not one of these folks paranoid about being 'frist' at everything! The Battles have been around for a while but I've only just discovered them. The music is undeniably weird, very difficult to sing along too, and reminds me a lot of that moment of a drunken night where you're dancing and you realise you almost definitely won't remember this bit tomorrow. But despite that (or because of it?) it's very catchy and innovative and fun. I likee. Here's a sample:

Breaking News! :O

Youtube has been relvealed as hosting a huge source of terrorist training videos. And what's more, they are not taking them down!

Here is one of them...

(this is also to see if I can really work out how to add Youtube XD... yay I can!)

So I checked my Facebook...

And was ambushed by three people I hadn't spoken to in at least 10 years. Stupid, stupid pants!

About this Whirled thing...

I'm probably going to mention Whirled a lot so I guess I should explain what it is...
Whirled is essentially an online game which is based around rooms, chat, discussions and casual games. It's Flash based, which means it runs in your browser without installing software. I've been playing around with it since closed alpha (as I write, Whirled is in open beta) and I've found it a lot of fun, mainly because it's so easy for players to create their own stuff and add it to their rooms, or sell it to other players. And I like the games (which, being Flash games, are usually of the casual Bejewelled/tower defence type game which I enjoy, even though they can turn me into a mouseclick-zombie for hours on end)
So, here is hopefully the first of many Whirdly things I'll share in this blog. It's a room I made a few days ago as a place to put some new physics toys created by another player. Feel free to jump in and throw a few clock parts around :D

Launch the full version of Whirled

Goddammit Trowzers, check your Facebook

One thing you should know about me - I'm a really, really slack Facebook person. I'm fully aware I have a lot of pending friend requests (stop emailing me about it!). My facebook page has probably been sucked into a black hole formed from a congealing mass of green patch requests. But I still haven't logged on for months. So this news is strangely disturbing - what if someone is suing me via Facebook?

Is it really possible someone will one day log in to see "Pick the Serial Killer", "Add this Application", "By the way your appeal was unsuccessful...". And how would they handle someone with a private profile? "Hey, are you really Tom Jones born in 1982 or some other Tom Jones? See I'd really like to send you these divorce papers..."

(Dood, I friended you like 3 weeks ago, srsly, check it...)

*Drumroll* The OPENING POST

First post! This better be something amazing! I had better dazzle you with my fabulous reason for starting a blog and titilise you with tidbits of future content!

Except I only started a blog because I thought I ought to have one, and I like to babble.

Oh well! Onwards!
